In order to assess grammatical knowledge, writing ability and readiness for freshman composition (ENG 111), all incoming students will take an English assessment test at Advising & Registration or orientation consisting of a grammar section and a written essay. English course placement is based on an evaluation
of the English assessment results and SAT/ACT scores.
