Planning Course Schedules

All incoming freshmen who have paid their enrollment deposits and who plan to enter Meredith in the Fall of 2011 are invited to attend one of the Advising and Registration events.

Advising and Registration events allow students to have a confirmed schedule prior to coming to campus in August, more time at orientation for other campus activities, and a chance to become acquainted with classmates, faculty and the academic environment before August orientation.

Once you pay your enrollment deposit, you will be sent a packet of information including an invitation to attend one of the three Advising & Registration events, and a 2011-12 Advising & Registration Workbook. It is very important that you read this workbook thoroughly and return the forms inside even if you are not able to attend one of the Advising and Registration events.

The following link provide more information about advising and Registration events.

Advising & Registration Information for Parents and Families
We are excited that your daughter will be joining the Class of 2015 in the fall! Admissions will send a package to all incoming freshmen who have paid an enrollment deposit indicating that they plan to attend Meredith in the fall. This package includes an invitation to attend one of our Advising and Registration events on Saturday, May 21, Saturday, June 28 or Saturday, July 9, 2011.

Please encourage your daughter to read this package thoroughly and to return the enclosed forms even if she is unable to attend one of the Advising and Registration events. While parents and families are not required to attend, we welcome your participation and will have events planned for parents and families.

What if I am unable to attend an Advising and Registration event?
We strongly encourage all incoming freshmen to plan to attend one of the Advising and Registration events. We understand, however, that some students will not be able to attend due to other commitments. Even if you cannot attend one of the events, you should remember to do the following:

  • Read the Advising and Registration Workbook that you were sent after you paid your enrollment deposit.
  • Complete the Advising and Registration Form and Course Schedule Worksheet (from the workbook) and return them to the Office of Admissions by May 7, 2011. This information will be used to develop a schedule for you.
Students who do not attend an Advising and Registration event will be contacted by Academic & Career Planning staff in July .
