The Service-Learning Advisory Committee (SLAC) was formed by then Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Rosalind Reichert in the 2003-2004 school year to review the current status of service learning initiatives at Meredith College and to recommend actions that will sustain and increase its impact on the learning community. SLAC focuses attention on events such as the Brown Bag Lunch series, which hosts speakers who discuss topics that are of interest to faculty who integrate service into their class curricula, and the Communty Partners Recognition luncheon.
