Meredith College is working to cultivate an inclusive and pluralistic campus environment where diverse identities are welcomed into our living, learning, and working community. The anti-racism initiative reflects our commitment to strength, integrity, and the power of education to bring about real and lasting change across Meredith’s campus.

Legacy Scholar and Honors student Ally Cefalu, ’22, double majored in biology and psychology, became a Student Assistant, conducted lab research, and formed a strong bond with the Meredith community. After graduating from Meredith, she took her passion for biology and mental health to work as an Analyst I at BioAgilytix.

After sharpening her skills in the United States Marine Corps, Tylena Brown, ’22, chose to attend Meredith College as a Wings — Adult Education student studying business administration with a concentration in human resources.

Meredith News

Meredith College’s Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society welcomed its first student members during an April 17, 2024 ceremony. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. The Meredith chapter was established in Fall 2023.

 

Dr. Jo Allen has received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest honor for service in the State of North Carolina. The Office of the Governor grants the award to individuals with 30 or more years of service to North Carolina.

Three Meredith scholars who were awarded the College’s highest academic honor, the Full-Ride Merit Scholarship, were celebrated on Friday, April 19, 2024, as they prepare to graduate.
