Mission Statement

Academic & Career Planning empowers students and alumnae to make academic and career decisions through reflection of skills, values, and interests, major and career exploration, and implementation and evaluation of action plans. Students develop confidence, competence and assume responsibility for achieving their goals by utilizing academic and career counseling, workshops, courses, events and experiential opportunities. Through collaboration with faculty, staff, employers and communities, we create a supportive yet challenging environment that prepares students with a foundation for success.

Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1: Students will actively share responsibility for their academic plan including satisfactory GPA and progress toward degree.

Outcome 2: Students will develop realistic academic and career expectations as they progress
through college.

Outcome 3: Students and alumnae will demonstrate responsibility in major and career decision making and job search.

Outcome 4: Students, faculty/staff, employers, and alumnae will demonstrate useful knowledge and awareness of ACP resources.

Outcome 5: Students will discover full time, part-time, internship, and co-op opportunities through conversations with employers.
